betPawa Premier League holders, Medeama Sporting club (SC) have announced the signing of Zimbabwean international Kudakwashe Mahachi.
The 29-year old joins the team on a year deal after successful negotiations and undergoing mandatory medicals.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Zimbabwean international Kudakwashe Mahachi on a one-year deal,” Medeama announced on the club’s website.
“The midfielder will be playing outside South Africa for the first time since 2014. The two parties have reached and agreement with a deal signed and sealed.”
“Mahachi is an exciting and talented footballer who has wowed fans in the South African Premier Soccer League,” the statement added.
Kudakwashe Mahachi started his career in Zimbabwe in 2012. He played for Zimbabwe sides Bantu Rovers, Chicken Inn and Highlanders, where he excelled and secured a move to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Zimbabwean international featured for Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2014/15 season. He spent the 2015/16 season on loan at Golden Arrows before being made permanent between 2016 to 2018.
Kudakwashe Mahachi after leaving Golden Arrows went on to play for Orlando Pirates and most recently, Super Sports United.
At National level, Kudakwashe Mahachi has made 44 appearances for the Zimbabwe national team, scoring 5 goals.
Mahachi becomes the fifth signing of Medeama this window. The club has already announced the arrivals of Godknows Dzakpasu, Kamaradini Mamudu, Benjamin Bature and Ibrahim Larbi.
Medeama are currently preparing for the CAF Champions League, where they are scheduled to come up against Remo Stars of Nigeria in the preliminary round on Sunday, August 20 in Cape Coast and Sunday, August 27 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ogum State.
