2022/23 betPawa Premier League winners, Medeama SC have announced the signing of forward Benjamin Bature and defender Ibrahim Larbi.
Benjamin Bature re-joins the club he played for between 2014 to 2019 on a permanent contract after leaving King Faisal, signing a three-year deal which will keep him at the club until June 2026.
“I am very happy to return to Tarkwa to continue with my career. Medeama has always been a great place for me and I look forward to joining the group,” Bature told Medeama’s official website.
“The decision to re-join this fantastic club was an easy one having played for couple of years here.
“The ambition, direction and focus of the club excites me and I look forward to contributing my quota to the success of the club.
Speaking on the signing of the experience forward, Coach Augustine Evans Adotey said: “We are very happy to have Bature join us for next three years. We know his capabilities and we look forward to working with him.
“Bature is not new to the club having excelled during his time in the past. He is a talented footballer and has the capacity to improve our squad.
“We want to build a formidable squad for our Premier League title defence as well as our involvement in the CAF Champions League,” he added.
Bature is expected improve the Medeama team with his rich experience, having in the past played for Tunisian side JS Kairouan, Nigerian side Nasarawa United and most recently King Faisal, where he scored six goals, provided one assist in 26 matches Faisal last season.

Medeama also announce the signing of talented centre-back Ibrahim Larbi on a four-year deal from Greater Accra-based Division Two side, Mountaineers FC.
“Larbi is an exciting prospect and I’m glad he has joined us to continue with his development. He will bring competition to the team and we’re looking forward to a perfect working relationship,” said Coach Augustine Evans Adotey as quoted by the club’s website.
Ibrahim Larbi thanked the coach for believing in him and vowed to work hard to cement the confidence reposed in him.
“This is a great opportunity for me and I look forward to grabbing it. I am very happy to join a big club like Medeama. I will work hard to cement the confidence reposed in me by the coach and his backroom staff,” said the defender.

Benjamin Bature and Ibrahim Larbi become the third and fourth signings of the club this window. The club has already announced the arrival of midfielder Godknows Dzakpasu and Kamaradini Mamudu, who both join after leaving Tamale City FC.
Medeama are currently preparing for the CAF Champions League, where they are scheduled to come up against Remo Stars of Nigeria in the preliminary round on Sunday, August 20 in Cape Coast and Sunday, August 27 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ogum State.
