Medeama Sporting Club (SC) has signed a bumper sponsorship deal with gold mining firm Goldfields Ghana ahead of the start of the 2020/21 football season.
The mauves and yellows agreed a deal worth $300,000 with Goldfields Ghana who becomes their headline sponsor for the next 3 years, replacing betting firm Betway.
“We have signed a sponsorship deal with mining giants Goldfields Ghana worth $300,000 for the 2020-21 @GhanaLeague season,” the club announced on it official Twitter account.

The deal was signed by Board Chairman Dr. Toni Aubynn and Executive Vice-President of Goldfields West Africa, Alfred Baku on behalf of both parties earlier today, becoming the biggest sponsorship package agreed by any local club in Ghana.
Already, Goldfields is undertaking the face-lift of the club’s home grounds, the Akoon Park, at a reported cost of $13 million.
