Medeama and Dreams select venues for Preliminary round of the CAF Interclub competitions; Dates and times of home games confirmed

Medeama SC and Dreams FC have submitted their home venues and kickoff times for their preliminary round matches of the CAF Interclub competitions.

The two clubs were given up to Monday, July 31, 2023 to submit their venues and kick off time for their opening matches in the two Inter club competitions.

Medeama will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League as winners of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League, while Dreams will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup as winners of the MTN FA Cup.

League Champions Medeama SC have settled on the Cape Coast stadium for the Champions League. The Mauves and Yellow were hoping to use the T and A Park as their home ground. However, those hopes have been dashed with the ground still under construction.

Dreams FC on the other hand have settled on the Accra Sports Stadium as their home ground for the Confederation Cup.

Medeama SC will come up against Nigeria fold, Remo Stars in the Champions League on Sunday, August 20, 2023, before traveling for the return leg a week later at the Remo Stars Stadium.

Dreams FC on the other hand will travel to Conakry, Guinea to play Milo FC De Kankan, before hosting them in Accra on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

The winners of the ties will progress to the second and final round of the respective qualifiers. Medeama will play against 20-time Guinean champions, Horoya, while Dreams play winner of AS Dounes of Niger Vs Kallon FC of Sierra Leone.
