Medeama and Dreams respectively confirm their home grounds for the 2023/24 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup

Medeama SC and Dreams FC have confirmed their respective home grounds for the 2023/24 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup.

The two clubs will be representing the country in the two prestigious continental competitions as winners of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League and MTN FA Cup.

Medeama will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League as winners of the Premier League, while Dreams will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup as winners of the MTN FA Cup.

Ahead of what will be their maiden appearance in the respective competitions, the two clubs have confirmed their home grounds after going through the club licensing process and receiving a license to participate in the two prestigious CAF competitions.

Medeama will use the Cape Coast Stadium as their home ground. The league winners were hoping to use the T and A Park as their home ground. However, those hopes have been dashed with the ground still under construction.

Dreams FC on the other hand will use the Accra Sports Stadium as their home ground.

The two grounds have in the past hosted World Cup qualifiers, African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers and many other top international competitions.

Also, the Club Licensing Committee has approved Medeama’s partnership agreement with Fiase Golden Royals Ladies FC as their Women’s team as part of the licensing requirements and Dreamz Ladies FC for Dreams FC.

The Committee also approved the youth teams of the clubs, Tarkwa Barcelona Babies FC for Medeama SC and In God We Trust FC for Dreams FC.
