Budding Ghanaian center-back Maxwell Woledzi has emerged as a top target for a number of European clubs.
According to a report from Danish sports tabloid Bold.dk, Maxwell Woledzi who plies his trade with Danish fold Nordsjælland is attracting interest from Moldavian side Sheriff Tiraspol and unnamed clubs in Sweden and Norway.
The report adds that Sheriff Tiraspol who were involved in the group stages of the ongoing UEFA Champions League and surprised Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk have already had two bids turned down.
Nevertheless, the Moldovan club haven’t given up on the Ghanaian youngster and are expected to make another offer in the coming days. Howbeit, they’ll face stiffer competition from clubs in Norway and Sweden.
Maxwell Woledzi is believed to be interested in a move away from Nordsjælland due to lack of playing minutes. The 20-year old has been involved in 16 games for Danish side this season, starting just 5 of those games.
Woledzi has been a FC Nordsjælland player since 2019 and has a contract until the summer of 2023.
