Ghanaian international Majeed Ashimeru and Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday sealed a domestic double after defeating Hartberg 3-0.
Goals from Andre Ramalho, Hwang Hee-chan and Patson Daka, topped up with nearest rivals LASK Linz’s 1-0 defeat to Wolfsberger confirmed Salzburg’s unassailable 11-point lead at the top of the table, with just 3 games to go.
The 3-0 victory ensured that Red Bull Salzburg were winners of the Austria Bundesliga title for the 14th time in the their history and for the 7th consecutive season.
Majeed Ashimeru who came on in the second half in Sunday’s victory against Hartberg was instrumental for Salzburg throughout the campaign, he featured in 19 games, scoring twice and providing 2 assists.
The is his first Bundesliga trophy and second trophy since joining Red Bull Salzburg in 2017.
He also won the Austrian Cup in May after a 5-0 thrashing of Austria Lustenau.
