Majeed Ashimeru continued his fine form by scoring the opener for RSC Anderlecht in a 2-0 victory against Genk at the Lotto park on Sunday.
Following a string of decent performances in recent weeks, Majeed Ashimeru was rewarded with a starting place by head coach Vincent Kompany and scored the game’s opening goal in the 36th minute.

Yari Verschaeren scored the second and winning goal for Anderlecht in the 41st minute, finishing off a pass from Christian Kouame.
Ashimeru has now scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists for Anderlecht in 27 games, starting only 6 of those games.
Majeed will hope his recent form will be enough to convince the technical handlers of the Black Stars for a place in the squad to face rivals Nigeria in the playoff of the 2022 FIFA World Cup next month.
