Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru climbed off the bench to provide 3 assists for Red Bull Salzburg as they pulverized Hartberg 7-1 in the Austria Bundesliga on Sunday evening.

Majeed Ashimeru came on in the 78th minute to replace Enock Mwepu with Salzburg leading 4-0. Jerome Onguene, Albert Vallci, Sekou Koita and Patson Daka grabbed the goals for Salzburg.

Just a minute after coming on, Majeed Ashimeru assisted Patson Daka for his 2nd goal of the game and Salzburg’s 5th.

Hartberg pulled a goal back in the 84th minute through Stefan Rakowitz.

In the 87th minute, Majeed Ashimeru found himself in the 18 yard box and was fouled for a penalty. The resulting penalty was converted by Noah Okafor to make it 6-1.

In additional time, Majeed Ashimeru provided his 3rd assist of the game, he set Sekou Koita up, who beat the goalkeeper to make it 7-1.

Salzburg won the game 7-1 and currently sit top of the table with 4 wins in 4.

Majeed Ashimeru has featured in 4 games this season, starting just 1 and providing 4 assists.
