Liberty Professionals rally from behind to beat Ebusua Dwarfs in playoff match

Liberty Professionals came from a goal down to beat Ebusua Dwarfs 3-1 in the playoff to determine the replacement of demoted AshantiGold in the betPawa Ghana Premier League.

Ebusua Dwarfs after a decent start to the game took the lead in the 6th minute through a Richard Addai header.

Liberty Professionals step their game up and hit back in no time. William Oduro robbed the ball off Simon Martey to set Blaise Macadjei up from close range.

The Scientific Soccer Lads continued to probe and took the lead in the 36th minute through a solo effort from William Oduro.

In the 60th minute, Liberty Professionals extended their lead, William Oduro converted a spot-kick to earn his brace and his side’s third.

Ebusua Dwarfs dominated most parts of the remaining minutes of the game but failed to take their chances as it ended 3-1 in favor of Liberty Professionals.

The win gives Liberty Professionals a good chance of securing a place in the Premier League.

The next game of the playoff will see Liberty Professionals take on Tamale City on Saturday, August 6.
