Liberty Professionals came from a goal down to beat betPawa Premier League new boys Kotoku Royals 2-1 at the Blue Skies Park in Dobro and in the process secure a place in the semifinal of the 2022 Division One League Super Cup.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, Kotoku Royals struck first just minutes into the second half through new boy Tahir Mensah.
Liberty Professionals fought back and cancelled the lead through Nana Kwame Oppong, before center-back Paul Kwame scored to turn the game around and give the Dansoman-based side a 2-1 win.
In the other final Group A game, Nsoatreman and Ebusua Dwarfs played out a scoreless draw at the Kyebi Presby Park.
The results from two games ensured that Liberty Professionals and Nsoatreman advance to the semifinal of the competition as first and second placed sides respectively.
The competition will continue on Monday with the final games of Group A taking place, Young Apostles face Tamale City and Tema Youth square with Samartex.
