Legon Cities’ problems continues to compound as Starman Asamoah Gyan has been sidelined indefinitely.

The Royals have had a torrid start to the new Premier league season. They sit bottom of the Premier league table after 6 games, they’ve won 0 of those games, drawn 3 and lost 3.

But that isn’t all of the problems the Royals have had to face, they’ve also faced injury crisis and the club’s most influential player Asamoah Gyan becomes the latest player to join the lengthy list of injured players.

Gyan, who joined the team on transfer deadline day and is yet to start any of the 6 games didn’t even make the bench in Friday night’s 2-1 defeat to Ebusua dwarfs.

Speaking to the media after the defeat, manager Bashir Hayford was questioned why Gyan didn’t make the bench, he divulged that the legendary striker suffered an injury and can’t tell when he will be back.

“Not my decision to keep Gyan out tonight. He felt a pain and that kept him out from our last training session before this game (last night),” Bashir Hayford told the media after the 2-1 defeat to Dwarfs.

“I can’t give a time frame for his return, so we will keep working with what we have,” he added.

Legon Cities will next play Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf park.
