Kudus Mohammed opens up on why he joined Ajax

Ajax new signee Kudus Mohammed has opened up on why he moved to Ajax despite receiving numerous offers from other top European clubs.

The burgeoning midfielder on Thursday completed a move from Nordsjaelland to Erevidise side Ajax, he penned a five-year contract worth 9 million euros.

The youngster prior to the move received a plethora of offers from other top European clubs, the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspurs, Dortmund, Newcastle, Ac Milan, Inter Milan etc.

“Ajax is a special place with a special culture and a new challenge and opportunity for development”, Kudus told GHANAsoccernet.

“I look forward to this and to fulfil the KudusDream. I owe this to all the staff and teammates at FC Nordsjaelland and Right to Dream”.

He will wear the jersey number 20 at Ajax, he’s expected to replace Hakim Ziyech who left the Dutch club to join English giants Chelsea earlier this summer.

Kudus joined Nordsjaelland from Ghanaian side Right to Dream. He has been in astounding form this season for the Danish outfit, scoring 11 goals in 26 appearances.

Following his explosive performance with Nordsjælland, Kudus has been shortlisted for the 2020 Golden Boy Award.

He was handed his Black Stars debut in a African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa in November, he scored just shortly after coming on.
