Posted by Budding Ghanaian midfielder Kudus Mohammed has been nominated for the 2020 Golden Boy award alongside big names Alphonso Davies, Erling Braut Haland, Vinicius Jnr, Jadon Sancho, Gabriel Martinelli etc.
Kudus Mohammed has been in sensational form for Danish Super League outfit FC Nordsjaelland this season, he has scored 9 times and provided an assist in 21 league games.
His performances has already earned him two Black Stars appearance and a goal. He netted a phenomenal goal against South Africa on his Ghana debut.
Kudus’ astounding performances hasn’t gone unnoticed as he has attracted interest from top European clubs like Liverpool, Dortmund, Marseille, Tottenham, Inter Milan etc.
The 19 year old has now earned a place on the 2020 Golden Boy list. An award for young players under the age of 21 who have been exceptional in the year under review.
Italian outlet Tuttosport came up with the award in 2003, to decide the best young player in Europe, playing in one of the top tier leagues, and it has become one of Europe’s most prestigious awards
On Monday the paper announced this year’s list of 100, which will be whittled down over the coming months until the winner is announced.

The award has been in existence for 14 years now, Rafael van der Vaart was the first winner, he was later followed by Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Aguero.
