Kudus Mohammed made his official Ajax debut on Sunday as Ajax defeated RKC Waalwijk 3-0 at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

Goals from Dusan Tadic, Labyad and Lisandro Martinez ensured the victory for Ajax.

Kudus, who played full throttle and was impressive throughout the game was named man of the match.

The Right to Dream graduate in the game displayed his technicality, pace, strength, power, creativity, aggression, tenacity and defensive prowess.

The youngster’s stellar performance has further been acknowledged as he was named in the Erevidisie team of the week.

Kudus’ performance hasn’t only earned him the man of the match award and a place in the Erevidisie team of the week, he has left a plethora of football fans drooling and manager Erik Ten Hag didn’t feel any different, the Dutch manager was full of praise for the 20-year-old.

“I think he did an excellent job. I could imagine something about that Man of the Match election. You see him looking for positions here and there. He has to get used to that. The more flying hours he will make, the faster that will go. That he can play very well, we have seen today “, Ten Hag told FOX Sports.

However, Erik ten Hag believes the €9m summer acquisition from Nordsjaelland can still improve.

“His qualities fit exactly in the Ajax profile, that’s right. Both in possession of the ball and in defense, he still has difficulty choosing positions”, said the coach.

“It was a regular victory. We have never been in danger, have scored good goals and showed good attacks. We put good pressure in stages, although in certain situations the fine-tuning, for example with the pressure, can be even better.”
