Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been declared winners of the CAF Champions league tie against Mauritanian fold Nouadhibou.

This came in after the 2nd leg was postponed for the second time.

The Porcupine Warriors after drawing 1-1 with Nouadhibou in Mauritania welcomed them to Accra for the second leg.

The fixture was scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2020, but was postponed to Sunday, December 6, 2020 due to Covid-19 scare.

Nouadhibou travelled to Ghana with 16 players, but were left with 14 players for the game after 2 of their players tested positive for Covid-19.

However, the competition rules states that a team is supposed to have more than 14 players for a game.

After hours of deliberation, the Match Commissioner walked Kotoko onto the pitch to be officially declared winners.

Kotoko will now face Sudanese side Al Hilal in the final qualifying round.
