Stephen Puro Jnr, the manager of Bechem United defender, Kofi Agbesimah has confirmed that his client has reached an agreement to sign for giants Hearts Of Oak.
Kofi Agbesimah who has been one of the reliable defenders in betPawa Premier League in recent seasons has been linked to numerous clubs inside and outside Ghana since the opening of the ongoing transfer window.
Per a recent report, the Bechem United skipper has agreed to join Hearts of Oak after successful negotiations, a report the agent of the player has confirmed in an interview with Bernard Have (Otegha Morefans) on Adeiso-based radio station Tru FM.
“It is true that Hearts of Oak has beaten so many clubs to secure the signature of Kofi Agbesimah. The deal has been agreed between the two clubs and the management of the player, pending the signature of the player. So I can say he’s almost an Heats of Oak player.”
Stephen Puro Jnr went on to reveal that Kofi Agbesimah will arrive in Accra on Wednesday, August 23, where he’s expected to sign a three-year deal with an option for a one year extension.

The 26-year old joins Hearts of Oak with loads of experience and comes in as direct replacement for Robert Addo Sowah who left the team recently after seven years of service.
Agbesimah has been one of the best defenders in the league in the past three seasons, where he has featured in 97 of 102 league games, scoring 5 goals and leading Bechem United to three consecutive third place finishes in the league.
Per Stephen Puro, Agbesimah rejected offers from Asante Kotoko, Medeama, Nsoatreman, Nations FC and Samartex to sign for Hearts of Oak, joining Liventius Arthur, Kevin Osei Asibey, Michael Ampadu, Martin Karikari, Evans Adomako and Raphael Amponsah as the club’s new signings ahead of the 2023/24 football season.
The new season is scheduled to kickoff on Friday, September 15, 2023. Hearts of Oak will kick start their season with an away game against Real Tamale United (RTU) in Tamale.
