King Faisal, Tamale City, Great Olympics, Wa Suntaa, Maana FC and so on to learn their fate on Friday as Disciplinary Committee meets

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) will hold a meeting on will hold a meeting  on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the GFA Secretariat.

The Committee adjudicate a number of cases including protest cases between Tamale City vs King Faisal FC.

King Faisal filed a protest against Tamale City for using an unqualified player in their Gameweek 30 betPawa Premier League fixture which ended 4-0 in favor of Tamale City.

The player in question is winger Isaac Mensah who joined Tamale City from Sekondi Hasaacas in 2020 and has been an integral member of the team since.

Per the protest from King Faisal, the above mentioned player has been registered with two different names and Dates of Birth in the FIFA Connect System.

King Faisal in their petition stated that the player was registered with the name Isaac Mensah with his Date of Birth as 20th June 1998 and also registered with the name Jireh Kojo Nissi with his Date of Birth as 21st June 2003, making him unqualified to feature in the Gameweek 30 clash.

King Faisal further stipulated that the player was unqualified to feature in the game because he was transferred to Tamale City on loan and should have reverted to his parent club, Sekondi Hasaacas at the end of the loan.

Per the GFA Premier League Regulations, a team commits an offence punishable by forfeiture of a match where that team fields an unqualified player. In respect of the offence, the offending team (Tamale City) shall be considered as having lost the match and accordingly, three (3) points and three (3) goals shall be awarded in favour of King Faisal FC.

The Disciplinary Committee will also adjudicate the protest case between Great Olympics FC vs Tamale City FC and Wa Suntaa FC vs Maana FC.

Other cases including misconduct cases, Appeals from the various regions and Enforcement of decisions will also be adjudicated.
