Ghanaian forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has been shown the exit door at Fiorentina.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, the Sporting director of Fiorentina, Daniele Prade confirmed that Boateng is the only player from last season’s squad who does not fit into the club’s plans this season.
“We are experiencing a difficult time. There have been no major exit operations.”
“The only player who does not fit 100% into the plans is Kevin Prince Boateng, for everyone else we are trying to resolve the situations,” Daniele Prade told the media.
Kevin Prince Boateng after an unsuccessful six months loan spell at Barcelona joined Fiorentina in July 2019 from Sassoulo for a fee reported to be around €1.5 million.
The 33-year-old after spending just 6 months at Fiorentina and featuring in 14 games was sent on loan to Besiktas.
Boateng enjoyed a successful loan spell at Besiktas, he appeared in 11 games and in the process scored 3 goals and provided an assist.
Howbeit, that wasn’t enough to convince Besiktas who had an option to sign him permanently after the loan. He returned to Fiorentina in July and has now been told he has no future at the club.
According to recent reports, Boateng is a prime target for his former outfit Las Palmas and Italian Seria A outfit Hellas Verona.
Per Transfermarkt, Kevin-Prince Boateng is valued at €3.00m by Fiorentina.
