Hearts of Oak new signee, Kelvin Osei Asibey is focused on beginning the upcoming betPawa Premier League season with the club despite rants and raves from Eleven Wonders over his ownership.
Last week, Hearts of Oak announced the arrival of the center-back from Access Bank Division One League side, Eleven Wonders on a three-year deal with an option for a one year extension.
Despite the announcement from Hearts of Oak, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eleven Wonders, Andrews Fosu Antwi has said that Asibey is still their player.
“Until you see Thank you Kelvin Osei Asibey on our official page [Eleven Wonders], Accra Hearts of Oak cannot use the player, he can’t even train with them.”
“We are ready to listen to other offers for the player,” said the burgeoning CEO in a recent interview.
Amidst the rants and raves, Kelvin Asibey has in a Facebook post disclosed that he has started his personal training and is focused on starting the new season with the Phobians.
The Facebook post read: “I have started my personal pre-season training at the Gym center for upcoming betPawa Premier League 2023/24 season.
Kelvin Osei Asibey enjoyed an inspiring 2022/23 season with Eleven Wonders in the Division One League, leading the team to the final of the Zone One playoff, where they missed out on a place in the Premier League after losing to Bofoakwa Tano on penalties.
The center-back featured in 25 league games for the team in the 2022/23 Division One League season, scoring two goals and providing seven assists. He as well won six man of the match awards, including in the playoff against Bofoakwa.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak is expected to start preseason in the opening week of August ahead of the upcoming season which kicks off
