Ghana Premier League holders Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated Techiman Liberty FC 5-1 in a friendly encounter at the Adako Jachie Training Complex.
Head Coach Seydou Zerbo handed starting roles to Fredrick Asare; Augustine Agyapong, John Tedeku, Mohammed Sherif, Andrew Appau; Richard Boadu, Enoch Morrison, Eric Zeze; Steven Amankona, Isaac Oppong and Steven Mukwala.
The Porcupine Warriors dominated the first half and went into the break 3-1 up. Eric Zeze, Steven Mukwala and Isaac Oppong were on target.
Asante Kotoko continued their domination in the second half and scored 2 more goals through Rocky Dwamena and Patrick Asmah.
Midfielder Justice Blay who last featured for the team in April against King Faisal in a league game made his return. The likes of Emmanuel Sarkodie, Nicholas Mensah, Samuel Boateng and so on were in action for the Porcupine Warriors.
The friendly game forms part of the team’s preparation for the resumption of the betPawa Premier League. The league has been suspended following an injunction.
