JUST IN: Hearts of Oak appoint David Ocloo as interim Head Coach and substantive Assistant Coach

Accra Hearts of Oak has appointed David Dickson Ocloo has the club’s new Assistant Coach, a statement from the club revealed.

His appointment comes in following the mutual departure of Coach Samuel Boadu, Assistant Hamza Obeng and Goalkeepers trainer Eric Amponsah.

David Ocloo holds a CAF license A, B and C coaching certificates as well as a certificate in Sports performance and video analysis.

In the interim, Ocloo will act as the Head Coach and will be assisted by Samuel Nii Noi until the club appoints a substantive Head Coach in the near future.

David Ocloo is expected to lead the team in the first leg of Second qualifying round of the CAF Confederations Cup against Real Bamako of Mali in Bamako.

The 38-year old has in the past managed Maranatha FC – Togo, Liberty Professionals, Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities), Sahel Sporting Club in Niger.

He recently served as Assistant Coach at Asante Kotoko under Prosper Narteh Ogum, helping the club win the 2021/22 Premier League title.
