Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew recovered from Covid-19 to feature for Crystal Palace in a 2-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium on Friday night.
The 29-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 after his return from International duty. He has seen then missed Palace’s 1-1 draw against Brighton and 2-1 victory against Fulham.
Howbeit, Ayew recovered in time and featured for Crystal Palace in a 2-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night.
Despite being fit for the game, Ayew started the game from the bench and was subbed on in the 72nd minute, he came on to replace Andros Townsend, but his inclusion couldn’t alter the scoreline as goals from Ryan Aït Nouri and Daniel Podence handed Wolves a 2-0 victory.
Compatriot Jeffery Schlupp also lasted 65 minutes on the field for Crystal Palace.
The duo have been handed called-ups by CK Akonnor to represent Ghana in next month’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.
