Incoming Head Coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton was spotted in a meeting with Bismark Odoi, the father of Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Per Citi Sports, the reason for the meeting father is believed to be his first attempt at convincing the Chelsea winger to play for the country of his parents, Ghana.
Following the sacking of Milovan Rajevac earlier this week, former Brighton Brighton and Hove Albion manager, Chris Hughton is favorite to occupy the vacant Black Stars managerial role.
Chris Hughton arrived in Ghana on Friday for negotiations and it appears he has already hit the ground running as Black Stars new boss.
The former Newcastle boss was spotted in a chat with Bismark Odoi, Callum’s father at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra on Sunday afternoon.
Odoi, who was born in England to Ghanaian parents has represented England at different Youth levels and has made 3 appearances for the England senior national team. However, he’s still eligible to represent Ghana.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is one of many Ghanaian players born abroad Chris Hughton will set sights on convincing to play for the Black Stars once he’s confirmed as new manager of the team.
Hughton, whose managerial pedigree spans across 20 years will also be looking to convince the likes of Tariq Lamptey, Eddie Nketiah, Brain Brobbey, Enock Kwateng and others.
