A 20th minute strike from Imoro Ibrahim handed Asante Kotoko 3 points against Dreams FC at the theatre of Dreams.
Both sides were hoping to bounce back from defeats in their recent games.
Wilfred Dormon made slight changes to the team that played Hearts of Oak, Emmanuel Ocran was handed a start, Joseph Esso wasn’t even named on the subs bench.
Interim Kotoko manager, John Smith also handed starts to Razak Abalora, Wahab Adams, Latif Anabila and William Opoku Mensah.


The opening minutes of the game was evenly contested, the first big opportunity of the game fell to Dreams FC’s Maxwell Arthur, he skied an effort in the 16 yard box.
Dreams were presented with another huge opportunity in the 15th minute, Agyenim Boateng failed to beat Razak Abalora in a one on one situation.
The Porcupine Warriors broke the deadlock in the 20th minute, Imoro Ibrahim struck a beautiful shot from the edge of the box after a bad clearance by the Dreams defense. Goalkeeper Godfred Amoah could only watch the ball hit the net.
The remaining minutes of the first half saw little chances created.
Dreams pushed men forward in the second half hoping to level the score, but Razak Abalora was there to provide the answer anytime the Dreams attack asked questions.
The game ended 1-0. Kotoko record their second win of the season, whiles Dreams’ winless run stretches to 4 games.
