KF Tirana midfielder Ibrahim Sulley is expected to land in Ghana later today for the 2021 U20 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be staged in Mauritania.
The 19-year old has been handed a call up by Coach Karim Zito for the aforementioned tournament, making him the only foreign player handed invitation.
Sulley is expected to arrive in Ghana later today and will immediately join his teammates at the GFA Technical Centre (GSCE) in Prampram.
The former Great Olympics midfielder is expected to add experience to the side having previously featured in the competition in 2019 in Niger, where Ghana was knocked out in the group.
He was also an integral member of the U17 team that were knocked out of the quarterfinals of the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup in India by Mali.
Ibrahim currently plies his trade with Albanian side, KF Tirana. He joined the Albanian champions in September and has since managed to make just 2 appearances.
The Black Satellites will go into the AFCON in Mauritania as champions of WAFU Zone B and have been drawn in Group C with Gambia, Tanzania and Morocco.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from Sunday, February 14 to Thursday, March 4, 2021.
