Veteran football manager J.E Sarpong has made a shocking revelation about his time as manager of Great Olympics.
J.E Sarpong revealed that he once bought marijuana for a player prior to a game against bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
According to J.E Sarpong, the weed enhanced the unnamed player’s performance as he was named man of the match in a 2-1 victory.
“A player personally came to me asking for my permission to smoke weed (marijuana) before a game. I bought it for him, knowing what he can offer. He was voted the MOTM in the game. We (Great Olympics) beat Hearts of Oak 2-1″ he narrated on Sikka Fm.
It is a thing to note that the use of marijuana is illegal in Ghana, and it usage could be detrimental to one’s health. Players are advised to desist from using it.
Coach J.E Sarpong has managed several clubs in Ghana including Ebusua Dwarfs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
