Home sweet home, Liberty Professionals cleared to use the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park

The Club licensing board has reinstated the license of Liberty Professionals. 

The Dansoman based side had their license of using the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park revoked a day after their fixture against Accra Hearts of Oak at the ground. 

The club was banned from using the ground after snake infestation was detected. According to fans present at the ground to watch the game versus Hearts, 3 snakes were killed at the venue on the day, making the ground perilous.

The statement from the Club licensing board read:

 “The Club Licensing Board has revoked the License of Liberty Professionals FC for the use of the Carl Reindorf, Dansoman with immediate effect.

This decision was taken at a meeting of the Committee held on Monday, January 20 following the Club’s inability to rectify the infrastructural challenges based on which they were granted a provisional license with conditions, failing which the license shall be withdrawn.”

After its inspection on Monday January 20, the Board observed that Liberty Professionals failed to effect the required changes before the deadline given earlier.

Liberty Professionals have now been cleared to use the Carl Reindorf Park. This comes in after the club corrected all defects at the ground.

Liberty Professionals played it last home game at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu against Dreams Fc, a game they lost by 2-1. They’ll on Sunday have the prerogative to play at the Carl Reindorf park, a ground they are used to and in front of their fans. 

Liberty will on Sunday welcome Aduana Stars to Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park, they sit 12th on the league log with 10 points, but are yet to pick maximum points at home this season.
