Hearts of Oak’s “hacked account” statement to debunk reports of youngster Manaf Umar allegedly begging Efia Odo for 10gh divides opinion

Yesterday, the news broke on social media that Hearts of Oak youngster Manaf Umar has taken to his personal Twitter account to allegedly beg actress Efia Odo for a paltry sum of 10gh during her donations to her followers to ease their financial crisis during this Coronavirus pandemic.

The news caused a stir on social media as most people jumped on the issue to lampoon the club and the youngster.

In the wake of that, the club took to it official twitter handle to debunk the reports by saying the player’s twitter account was hacked.

The move didn’t go down well with most football fans as majority thought or believe Manaf had no intention of begging for money, and was only enjoying a good time off the field. They also added that the tweet from Hearts was unnecessary and the club must learn to stay silent on certain issues.

Section of football fans also believe Manaf’s actions was due to the club’s inability to give the players good salary, hence the players are struggling to eat in this torrid time.

Others also believe it was a good move by club because it reputation and that of the player was in disrepute.
