The fixtures for the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League season have been announced.
The Premier League season kicks off on the weekend of Friday, September 15 to Monday, September 18, 2023 across all nine Premier League venues.
Giants Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko will start their season away to Real Tamale United (RTU) and Heart of Lions at away respectively. Holders Medeama will kickoff their season at home to Accra Lions.
Other matches on the opening day will see Legon Cities host Karela United, Nsoatreman play Bechem United in the first Bono Derby of the new season, Dreams host new boys Nations FC, Great Olympics host returnees Bofoakwa Tano and so on.
Nations FC will host Asante Kotoko in the first ever topflight clash between the two teams in Match Day 6. Hearts of Oak of will host Samartex in that same week, while Bechem United host Berekum Chelsea in another Bono derby.
Hearts and Asante Kotoko will renew their long standing rivalry when they meet in Accra for their first encounter of the season on Match day 14. The return leg is scheduled for Week 31.
The Ga Mashie derby between Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak is slated for Week 15 and Week 32. Karela United play Medeama in the Tarkwa derby on Match day 16 and 33.
The first round of the season is expected to end on 29 Dec. 2023 before the league goes on a one-month break to make way for the 2023 African Cup of Nations which will be staged in Cote D’Ivoire from 13 January – 11 February 2024.
The second round of the season will kick off from February 23-26, 2024 at the respective match venues.
The curtains will be drawn on the 2023/24 league season on June 15-16, 2024 after the Matchday 34 round of matches.
Due to Television broadcast schedules, Match dates for the respective fixtures would be made public in due course.
