Hearts of Oak continue their rebuilding with the acquisition of three players from Access Bank Division One side, Asekem Football Club (FC).
The Phobians are currently under rebuilding after a terrible 2022/23 football season which saw the team finish in 12th place on the league table, avoiding relegation on the final day and with just two points.
Hearts of Oak as well failed to retain the MTN FA Cup and also faced a pathetic fate in the CAF Confederation Cup, bowing out in the second round of the qualifiers after losing to AS Real Bamako of Mali.
As part of the rebuilding, the newly appointed Technical team of the club has acquired the services of three players from Division One Zone One side, Asekem FC.
The players include; midfielder, Raphael Amponsah and forwards Evans Adomako and Martin Karikari who all signed long term contracts with the club.
The trio played key roles in the Asekem team which finished in 7th place on the 2022/23 Division One Zone two league table, with Martin Karikari finishing the season as the team’s top scorer with 12 goals.

Raphael Amponsah, Evans Adomako and Martin Karikari have already joined the rest of the team in training as preparations for the 2023/24 football season begins.
The trio become the latest players to join the club this window after Kelvin Osei Asibey from Eleven Wonders and Liventus Arthur from Tamale City.
Hearts of Oak is scheduled to begin the new season with an away game against Real Tamale United (RTU) on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
