Hearts of Oak reportedly settle on 30 players for 2023/24 season

Hearts of Oak have settled off 30 players for the upcoming betPawa Premier League season which kicks off on Friday, September 15.

Per GhanaSoccernet, the squad is made up of 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 11 midfielders and 8 strikers.

In the squad are the likes of Richmond Ayi, Richard Attah, Dennis Korsah, Albert Eonde, Salifu Ibrahim, Linda Mtange, Yaw Amankwa Baafi, Suraj Seidu, Eric Esso and so on.

Abdul Aziz-Nurudeen who missed the entire previous season due to a recurring thigh injury is include in the squad. Auroras graduate Hamza Issah is also part of the squad, while Gladson Awako wasn’t included.

New signings Thomas Qwaku Nsoh, Kelvin Osei Assibey, Kofi Agbesimah, Leventius Arthur, Michael Ampadu, Rafael Amponsah, Martin Karikari, Kasim Cisse, Kashala Ramos Wanet and so on were part of the squad.

Heading into the new season, Hearts of Oak are looking to bounce back from a torrid 2022/23 season which saw them fail to retain the MTN FA Cup and as well finish in 12th place on the league table, avoiding relegation on the final day of the season.

The Phobians will kickoff the 2023/24 season on Friday, September 15 when they travel to Tamale to face Real Tamale United.

Meanwhile, the team will take on newly promoted betPawa Premier League side, Nations FC in a friendly encounter at Kpobiman Sports Complex. on Sunday, September 10.
