Hearts of Oak on Friday afternoon released a press statement to condemn recent uncomplimentary remarks from former players Charles Taylor and Dan Quaye about board member Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe.
Charles Taylor in a recent interview went hard on the football administrator, describing him as “archaic” and “too old”.
This came in after Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe lashed out on former Hearts of Oak players who return to the country to relaunch their career with the club. He stated categorically that such players are not welcome back to the club.
However, Charles Taylor who won the CAF Champions League with the club in 2000 found himself in similar situation. He went on to unleash a scathing attack on the veteran football administrator.
Taylor questioned the financial contribution of Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe to the club. He also went on to say Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe will destroy Hearts of Oak if he’s not forced to resign. Such similar remarks have also been uttered by another former player Dan Quaye.
In the wake of all this brouhaha, Hearts of Oak have come out to debunk and condemn the actions of the former players, “we want to caution all from making such unguardedly statements, for such statements do not serve the right interest of the club”.
The club also advised former players to use appropriate channels to report their grievances.
