Accra Hearts of Oak has announced that midfielder Frederick Ansah Botchway has returned to training with the club.
Last month, Hearts of Oak announced that they’ve officially informed Fredrick Ansah Botchway that he’s a surplus requirement and both parties are in the process to mutually terminating their contracts.
However, the Phobians have rescinded the decision and have announced in a statement that the midfielder has returned to training with the club.
The statement added that the club is currently exploring other avenues to find a club that will be suitable for the player but until then, he will continue to train with the club to stay fit.
The statement read: “Following discussions with Frederick Ansah Botchway and his managers for a mutual termination, it was agreed that we will look for suitable clubs for the player to choose from for an onward transfer. The club did indeed find two clubs for the player but he wasn’t enthused about joining any of them.”
“Knowing very well that we still have a valid contract with the player, Hearts of Oak have decided to continue to explore other avenues to find a club that will be suitable for the player to join but until then, Frederick Ansah Botchway will continue to train with us to keep him fit and ready at his next destination.”
“We are very much hopeful that the player will accept the next available team that we offer to him so he can continue with his professional career,” the statement ended.

Botchway was in action and was on target for Hearts of Oak earlier today in a 2-0 friendly win against lower-tier outfit Kaakyire FC. Samuel Inkoom grabbed the other goal for the Phobians.
