Hearts of Oak hit eleven (11) pass Miracle Land FC

Hearts of Oak defeated lower tier side, Miracle Land FC 11-1 in a friendly encounter at the Kpobiman Sports Complex.

The Phobians named a strong starting lineup; Richard Attah, Kwabena Anane, Winimi Apatasi, Asibey Kelvin, Denis Korsah, Eric Esso, Enoch Asubonteng, Glid Otanga, Kwadwo Obeng Jnr, Salifu Ibrahim and Seidu Suraj were handed starting roles.

Hearts of Oak dominated the half and went into the recess 2 goals up, Winimi Apatasi and Suraj Seidu were on the scoresheet.

At the start of the second half, the Phobians made changes to the starting eleven; Richmond Ayi, Kelvin Asibey, Winimi Apatasi, Martin Karikari, Mitchel Sarpong, Linda Mtange, Amankwah Barfi, Leventius Arthur, Evans Adomako, Rapheal Amponsah and Kassala Ramos started the half.

The Phobians continued their domination and scored 9 more goals, while their opponents managed to score a goal.

Congolese international Kassala Ramos scored a hat-trick, substitute Hamza Mohammed and Michelle Sarpong scored a brace each. Martin Karikari and Linda Mtange scored the remaining goals.

Hearts of Oak arranged the game as part of their preparations for the Gbese Mantse Homowo Charity Cup against bitterest rivals Great Olympics on Sunday, August 20 and also the 2023/24 football season which is scheduled to kick off on Friday, September 15.

The Phobians will begin their season against Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Last season, the Phobians endured a torrid season, failing to retain the MTN FA Cup and finishing in 12th place on the league table, avoiding relegation on the final day of the season.
