Giants Accra Hearts of Oak has made changes to its Technical Team, a statement from the club has revealed.
The newly formed technical team will be headed by former Dutch attacker, Rene Hiddink, who comes in as new technical director.
Hiddink has previously served as the assistant coach for the Maldives national team. The 68-year old has also managed teams in the Netherlands, Rwanda, Madagascar and Maldives.

Erstwhile Goalkeeper’s trainer for Karela United and AshantiGold, Jerry Adiei Asare is named new Goalkeeper’s trainer.
Former club player, Sebastian Barnes will head the scouting department, while Carlos Klu will serve as Welfare Officer.
Mercy Tagoe who previously managed the Ghana women’s national team will manage the club’s female side, Oaks FC.

Per the statement released by the club, the changes are to ensure good technical direction for the club across all fronts.
“These changes are to ensure good technical direction for the club and most importantly, bring coordination to not only the senior team, but Auroras, Royal Oaks and the women’s team (Oaks FC),” part of the statement read.
“We are very hopeful that these changes and more to come, will position the club to achieve successes in the 2023/24 campaign and beyond.”
“The Board and management would like to take this opportunity to appeal to all followers of the club to offer their unflinching support to them and the team so together we will work for the collective interest of the team as we prepare for the new football season.”
“Meanwhile, the team is reporting to camp today, 29th July, and pre-season will commence on 1st August 2023,” the statement ended.

Also, the club is expected to announce a second batch of the new technical team in the coming days, when a new coach is expected to be revealed.
