The 2023 and the third edition of the Division One League Super Cup competition will be staged at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese, Kumasi.
The Division One League Super Cup is specially created for the best performing clubs in the Division One League, that is the winners of each zone, second placed teams in each zone and two of the third best placed teams at the end of every season.
The competition was created to give Division One clubs and newly promoted betPawa Premier League clubs more games outside their respective leagues and as well serve as a preparatory ground for the clubs ahead of a new season.
This year’s edition which is only the third will be contested by Nations FC, Bofoakwa Tano, Heart of Lions, Skyy FC, Koforidua Semper FI, Eleven Wonders, Young Apostles and Nzema Kotoko.
The participating teams have been grouped into two Groups after a draw which was held at the GFA Secretariat on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
In Group A, Heart of Lions and Nations FC who have qualified for the betPawa Premier League will battle with Sempe FI and Eleven Wonders.
Group B will see former Champions Skyy FC battle with Premier League returnees Bofoakwa Tano, Young Apostles and Nzema Kotoko.
