Head Coach of Hearts of Oak Samuel Boadu reacts to Sulley Muntari’s reported move to Hearts of Oak

Head Coach of Hearts of Oak Samuel is confident things will change for his side if Sulley Muntari joins.

According to reports, Sulley Muntari who has been without a club since he left Spanish side Albacete in 2019 has joined Hearts of Oak.

The Ghanaian legend is said to have signed a year deal after successful negotiations and will be available to feature for the Phobians when the second transfer window opens on Tuesday, February 1.

Speaking after Hearts of Oak’s 1-0 victory against King Faisal, Samuel Boadu was quizzed about the move. The burgeoning gaffer confirmed the move and added that he believes the arrival of Muntari will change things for his side.

“Sulley is motivator, he’s a good guy. The day that I saw him, it was amazing how he advised the boys. So believe things will change if Sulley joins the team,” Samuel Boadu said.

The former Inter Milan and AC Milan striker was present at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday as Kwadwo Obeng Jnr scored the only goal of the game to earn Hearts of Oak a 1-0 victory against King Faisal.

The 1-0 victory sees the Phobians move up to 5th on Premier League table with 23 points from 14 games.
