Hasaacas Ladies secure multiple nominations for the 2022 CAF Awards

Hasaacas Ladies have secured multiple nominations for the 2022 CAF Awards which will be held on 21 July 2022 in Rabat, Morocco.

The Doo Ladies were fantastic in the months under review (September 2021 to June 2022), winning the Ghana Women’s Premier League title, FA Cup, WAFU Zone B Champions League and the Ghana Women’s Super Cup.

They also finished second in the maiden edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt, losing to Mamelodi Sundowns ladies in the final.

The incredible feat has seen the Doo Ladies nominated for the Women’s club of the year award, competing with Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, ASFAR of Morocco, Equatorial Guinea’s Malabo Kings, Wadi Degla of Egypt, Nigeria’s Rivers Angels and AS Mande of Mali.

Evelyn Badu and Doris Boaduwaa have also been nominated for the young player of the year. The duo together with Janet Egyir and Perpetual Agyekum have also been nominated for the Interclub player of the year.

Evelyn Badu, Doris Boaduwaa and Perpetual Agyekum also made the preliminary list for the for the continent’s most prestigious award, the Player of the Year. The list is made up of 30 players and it is expected to be curtailed in the coming days.

The CAF Awards 2022 will be held on 21 July 2022 in Rabat, Morocco.

The winners of each category will be decided by a voting panel made up of CAF Technical Committee, media professionals, Head Coaches and captains of member associations and clubs involved at the group stage of the Interclub competitions.
