Ghanaian footballer Frank Twum Ntini has been confirmed dead in Bangladesh after a short illness at age 36.
Twum and one other Ghanaian footballer Richard Dzifa Appiae were jailed in a drug case. The duo were arrested in possession of 7,500 pieces of Yaba tablets.
According to reports, Frank was in jail for the past four months. He was hospitalised after he fell sick with fever and cough on Wednesday.
Frank on Friday morning succumbed to the illness at the Chattogram Medical College Hospital. He’s reported to have died of septic shock.
The 36 year old was playing for Bangladesh side Brothers Union fc before his arrest.
