Ghana have officially announced their squad and jersey numbers for the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) to be played in Algeria from Friday, January 13 to Saturday, February 4.
The Black Galaxies arrived in Constantine earlier today for their fourth appearance at the biennial competition which will see them play Madagascar, Sudan and Morocco in the group stages.

In the squad for the competition are the likes of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, David Abagna, Dennis Korsah and Gladson Awako who all have at least made an appearance with the senior national team, the Black Stars.
There’s also a place in the team for budding goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad who was part of the team that represented Ghana at the 2022 World Cup.
Despite not traveling with the team to Cairo for the pre-tournament camping, Hearts of Oak’s Caleb Amankwah and Amos Acheampong of Great Olympics have also been included in the team.
For the jersey numbers, skipper Awako will wear the jersey number 11, Jonah Attuquaye was handed the jersey number 10, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh picks number 18 and so on.
