Another weekend of Premier League action brought us plethora of excitement and upsets.

Asante Kotoko bounced back to winning ways after defeating AshantiGold 1-0. Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak shared spoils in game of the season contender, whiles Medeama defeated Karela 1-0 in the Nzema derby.

We take a look at’s best players in each position from the 9 games played in gameweek 28:

Goalkeeper: Richard Baidoo – Karela United

Richard Baidoo was splendid in post against Medeama, he pulled a number of good saves to prevent his side from suffering a humiliation. He was named man of the match.

Right wing back: Simon Martey – Ebusua Dwarfs

Simon Martey was fantastic for Ebusua Dwarfs throughout 90 minutes as he scored the only goal of the game to hand his outfit a 1-0 victory against Aduana FC.

Center back: Massaudu Abdulai – Dreams Fc

Massaudu was solid in defense for Dreams against Elmina Sharks. He helped his side keep a clean sheet and as well grabbed a goal.

Center back: Vincent Atinga – Medeama Sc

Vincent Atinga helped Medeama keep a clean sheet against rivals Karela. He as well scored the only goal of the game to earn his side all 3 points.

Center back: Vincent Adu Gyamfi – Legon Cities

Adu Gyamfi was resilient in defense for Legon Cities against Inter Allies. He was alert to deal with any dangerous ball from the Inter Allies attack. His performance earned him the man of the match award.

Left wing back: Patrick Asmah – Asante Kotoko

Patrick Asmah came in for Ibrahim Imoro who’s currently on national duty with the Black Meteors. The former Atalanta player was sublime throughout the game and provided the assist for the only goal of the game.

Defensive midfield: Emmanuel Netty – Hearts of Oak

Emmanuel Netty controlled the midfield against Great Olympics and scored a world class goal. He was named man of the match.

Center midfield: Fabio Gama – Asante Kotoko

Gama was a menace to the AshantiGold defense as Asante Kotoko won 1-0 and in the process bounce back to winning ways. He scored the only goal of the game and was named man of the match.

Forward: Maxwell Abbey – Great Olympics

Maxwell Abbey terrorize the Hearts of Oak defense throughout the game. He scored a stupendous header to earn his side well precious point.

Forward: Abdul Basit – Berekum Chelsea

Abdul Basit was like thorn in the flesh of the Berekum Chelsea defense throughout the game. He scored twice and was named man of the match.

Forward: Augustine Boakye – WAFA

Despite being on the losing side, Augustine Boakye was sublime for WAFA against Liberty Professionals. The youngster scored his 6th goal of the season and was named man of the match.

Player of the week: Abdul Basit – Berekum Chelsea

A brace and a man of the watch award for Abdul Basit makes him our player of the week.

Coach of the week: Seth Hoffman – Berekum Chelsea

Seth Hofman lead Berekum Chelsea to a 5-0 demolishing of King Faisal, making him our manager of the week.

Team of the week: Berekum Chelsea

Berekum Chelsea bounced back to winning ways with a 5-0 victory against King Faisal. The feat makes the Berekum-based outfit the team of the week.
