Ghana monitoring 15 goalkeepers for Nigeria clash – Richard Kingson reveals

Goalkeepers trainer of the Black Stars, Kingson has disclosed that he’s monitoring 15 goalkeepers for Ghana’s next month’s clash against Nigeria.

The Black Stars goalkeeping position has been up for grasp following substandard performances from the team’s goalkeepers in recent games.

Since November 2019, 7 different goalkeepers have been in post for the team, with all 7 failing to cement the position.

Ahead of the World Cup playoff against rivals Nigeria, goalkeepers trainer of the team, Richard Kingson has revealed that he’s monitoring 15 goalkeepers for the position.

” I have about fifteen (15) goalkeepers I am monitoring for Ghana, some are in Africa especially Mutawakilu Seidu, Annan of West Ham United and host of others,” Richard Kingson said on Hot FM.

When asked if he’s considering any of Richard Attah and Ibrahim Danlad, he said: They played on Sunday, great performances from these two quality goalkeepers and am sure they will be considered for Black Stars call ups, their quality is very high”.

The first leg of the clash against Nigeria will take place at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana on Sunday, March 27 and the second leg at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29, 2022
