Ghana has moved a place up on the latest FIFA rankings released by the world football governing body, FIFA on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
The Black Stars were placed in 60th position when the last ranking was released in April and have moved a place up following their involvement in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Madagascar.
Ghana were held to a scoreless draw by the Eastern African nation at the Berea stadium in Antananarivo a fortnight ago.
The team has now occurred 1391.13, 4.88 less points than they did when the previous ranking was released, moving into 59th place on the global rankings.
In Africa, Ghana remain in 11th place. Morocco remain in 1st place, followed by Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Cote D’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and so on.
Meanwhile, there are few changes at the top. Argentina remain top, followed by France and Brazil. England move into 4th ahead of Belgium who now sit in 5th place.
Croatia also move to 6th place and Netherlands drop to 7th place. The remaining positions in the top 10 are occupied by Italy, Portugal and Spain.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
