Today marks 19 years (May 9, 2001) since Ghana Football was hit with one of the worst stadium disasters ever in Africa and World football.
The ghastly incident took the lives of 127 Ghanaians and left numerous badly injured.
The day remains the darkest day in the history of Ghana football. Since then, May 9th has served as a day to commemorate the 127 lives lost and also serve as a painful reminder to the living on the need to behave appropriately when they the stadium.
