Ghana face Switzerland in November as part of build up to Qatar 2022 World Cup

The Black Stars of Ghana will take on Switzerland in a friendly encounter in November.

The friendly clash against the European country which will be the first meeting between the two sides forms part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be played in Qatar later this year.

The game will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Baniyas Club Stadium in Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates.

Switzerland will be a perfect opponent for Head Coach, Otto Addo and his team ahead of their opening game of the Mundial against Portugal at the 974 stadium on Thursday, November 24.

The Black Stars will later take on South Korea on Monday, November 28 at the Educational City Stadium and Uruguay on Friday, December 2 at the Al Janoub Stadium.

For Switzerland who find themselves in Group G, they’ll begin their competition against Cameroon on November 24, then Brazil on November 28 and Serbia on December 2.

Meanwhile, FIFA has confirmed that the Black Stars will base at the Doubletree By Hilton in Doha, Al Sadd for the World Cup. The team will train at the Aspire Zone Training Facilities 1.
