Ghana drop, Morocco maintain position, Brazil drop as Argentina go top: Latest FIFA ranking

Ghana has dropped on the latest FIFA rankings released by the world football governing body, FIFA on Thursday, April 6, 2023.

The Black Stars were placed in 58th position when the last ranking was released in December and have moved two places down following their involvement in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola.

Ghana defeated the Palancas Negras 1-0 in Kumasi and drew 1-1 in the reverse encounter in Luanda.

The team has now occurred 1396.01, 4.01 less points than they did when the previous ranking was released.

In Africa, Ghana remain in 11th place. Morocco remain in 1st place, followed by Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon, Cote D’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mali and so on.

Meanwhile, there are few changes at the top. Argentina displace Brazil at the top. France move to 2nd place and Brazil now occupy 3rd place.

Belgium occupy 4th place, followed by England, Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Portugal, Spain and so on.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published in July 2023.
