The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the fixtures for 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League will go public on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
The fixtures was initially scheduled to be released on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. However, it was delayed due to the three way club play off which involved Ebusua Dwarfs, Tamale City and Liberty Professionals to determine the replacement of demoted AshantiGold.
Tamale City won the playoff and will be joined by Nsoatreman, Samartex 1996 and Kotoku Royals as the new sides in the league.
The other sides to compete in the league are Champions Asante Kotoko, giants Accra Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Dreams FC, Legon Cities, Accra Lions, Berekum Chelsea, Bechem United, Karela United, King Faisal, Real Tamale United, Aduana FC, Bibiani Gold Stars and Medeama SC.
The Premier League this year will be sponsored by one of Ghana’s leading online sports betting companies, betPawa. betPawa will be the league’s headline sponsor for the next three years.
The 2022/23 betPawa Premier League is scheduled to be launched on 2nd September 2022, with the league kicking off on the weekend of 9th to the 12th September 2022.
