GFA ELECTIONS: Former GFA President endorses Kurt Okraku

Former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has thrown his weight behind Kurt Okraku to be re-elected as GFA President.

According to the Hearts of Oak board chairman, Kurt Okraku took over the GFA Presidency position following a torrid time which was created by the Anas exposé.

Nevertheless, he was able to stabilize things and create a plethora of fascinating projects. He added that Kurt Okraku will do more if given the mandate to continue.

”I want to endorse Kurt Okraku for the upcoming FA elections and my reasons are very simple. We came out of very turbulent waters not long ago. The FA was in the hands of a group appointed by FIFA and Kurt has been able to stabilise things,” he told Graphic Sports.

”He (Okraku) has been able to come out with some projects and I believe strongly that if he is given the opportunity, he will take the FA far,” he added.

The endorsement from the former GFA Chairman comes has no surprise as Kurt Okraku has already received numerous public endorsements from football administrators and clubs in the country.

Kurt Okraku will compete with former vice president of the Ghana FA, George Afriyie for the top position. The elections is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27 at the Redaach Memorial Hotel in Tamale.
