Posted by Chief of Staff of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and bankroller of Division One side Vision, Michael Osekere has dragged broadcast journalist, Jeffrey Asare and Sompa FM to court for defamation.
Earlier this week, the Ghana FA released a press statement instructing its lawyers to institute legal action against persons who defame the Association, its officials, products and destroy the Black Stars brand as well as the media platforms used to do same.
The statement from the FA came in after Jeffrey Asare in a program on Sompa FM stated that Michael Osekre received $50,000 as appearance fee at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Just hours after the damning allegations, Jeffery Asare issued an unqualified apology to the GFA staff. In spite of that, Michael Osekre has refused to let matters rest and has dragged Jeffery Asare and Sompa FM to court to substantiate their allegations.
